I am a Plymouth based artist who has lived all over the place but always ends up back in the southwest where I will be staying now and hope to move back into Cornwall. I don't come from down here I was born In Berkshire and moved down to Cornwall when I was just a teen and fell in love with the place. I have no training in any form of art just loved doing it. Sometimes I just love to go up and down the southwest with my sketchbook and paintbox. 

Plein air painting I do love to do when I can and as you can see, I tend to paint depending on the mood I'm in and it will change how the painting turns out so therefore a lot of my work doesn't see the light of day until I'm happy to show anyone. I will paint still life's as well as landscape's indoors or outdoors.

Studio painting is the hard part when you don't have a studio so I end up having a corner of my room or wherever I can set up in doors.

in June 2023 I came up with the little character called Mr Smeaton the little lighthouse after doing some bookmarks  this little fella is taking over my whole world
